The conception of First Aid International Foundation was further motivated by the concern to contribute to the improvement of the general wellbeing of the disadvantaged and vulnerable people in Uganda. Basing on the community needs assessment carried out in Mukono district, the suffering of the people is brought about by lack of access to quality health care, low access to quality education, high rates of maternal, child death, lack of ambulance services, high unemployment rate, high rate of HIV/AIDS, Teenage pregnancies, menstrual hygiene management challenges, high poverty levels, lack of youth friendly services, lack of access to clean water, basic toilets, and good hygiene practices in the communities we serve.
To improve the general wellbeing of the vulnerable and disadvantaged communities through our integrated interventions around Health, Education, Emergency Medical services, WASH, Food security among other programs.
Building a world where communities have full access to emergency medical services, quality health care, clean water, sexual and reproductive health services, primary health care, quality education, food security among others.
Our values are developed to foster step by step success for all partners at our organisation through creating a world where communities have access to timely Emergency Medical Services, quality health care, Food security, Education and Clean water, among others.
First Aid international Foundation was founded in 2018 with a mission to improve the general wellbeing vulnerable and disadvantaged communities in Uganda.
It was later registered with the Uganda Registration Service Bureau and other authorities in 2021 as a charity organisation. The formation of this Foundation was motivated by the unmet need identified in the areas of Mpunge subcounty witnessed during the community needs assessment and confirmed by local authorities including the District Health Office and subcounty chief. The untold story of mothers dying at home due to absence of Emergency Medical Services to reach higher level health facilities, is something that the foundation intends to address.
